Oddball Countdown Calendar

I am not sure how to have an excited scream about a digital stamp company but Oddball Digital Stamps is worth an extra big EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!  Lizzy Love is the owner and she is an amazing artist!!!  When I got these stamps I had no idea what on earth I was going to create- so I started with a card......

but I loved loved loved the images so much that I went further and decided to created a countdown calendar for Halloween because the images just said....USE ME WOMAN- so of course I obliged.....

I started with a wood canvas and painted it black.  I used patterned paper that had pumpkin faces pre cut and glued it on with non other than Gorilla glue.  Just as I was about to glue it I thought about inking the edges with some purple ink to bring the images together.

Starting at the top and working down.....

I used a page from a Making Memories 8 x8 album to make it look like the balloon that the Big Eyed Zombie with Balloon had.  The moon was coloured from a light grey to mimmic the scary man in the moon.

The Haunted House I coloured with Prismacolors and used  some vellum ghosts stickers that I have had for years.  The Boo was covered with sparkly silver paper and I thinned  some black acrylic paint to the edges to make the drippy effect.  The eyes used were also from The zombie girl with a balloon, so I printed two and coloured them to be the   embellishment for the "O"'s.

The bat is from Oddball Digi Stamps as well and I added googly eyes for a bit of charm.  The tree and behind the "BOO" came from a sticker sheet from Echo Park Emporium Collection which no doubt is from a few years ago....lol. My supplies were all in storage for a number of years...AAAAhhhhhh its so nice to touch the supplies again.

The middle section I constructed on its own and then added it with gorilla glue...teehee gotta be my fav.  adhesive.  I used the back of a picture that was black.  I used an acetate frame and glued it to making memories spider web paper.  The embellies were so much fun to add also because I tried to keep everything so a preschool child to adult could "count" the items...making it a game.

The bottom and sides I got to use flowers and leaves to enhance the colors on the zombie girl.  adding a lime green ribbon to hang onto the balloon, seemed right before it flew away.

The zombie girl was coloured with Prismacolors and I worked the colors back and forth until I found the right shade and depth.  It cannot be seen as clearly on the photo but she makes even the Spookiest outfit gleam!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!  A huge thank you to Lizzy at Oddball Digi Stamps  for the amazing images!  I am glad you participated in the Crafty Calendar Challenge- Can't wait to see your awesome creations!
Happy Crafting' Y'all

Notes 4 "BOO"!

                  EEEEEkkkk!!!!!!

Run and then scream and then come back and look at this cute stamp set from Oddball Stamps!  This set is called "BOO FOR YOU" and the second I saw it I knew I needed to make a notepad for my preteen.  She loves paper and taking tiny notepads with her to school.

I used smooth grey cardstock and Spellbinders grave dies to cut the paper and grey stone.  Using the cutest stamp set ever was an easy addition to the front cover after I used a unity lattice stamp to give the stone some texture.

The embellishments were super easy with such cute ghosts....ribbon, a little sparkle around the "4" and some orange pearls for the top.  I think that these would be super cute for those special spooks that will be visiting soon.

Monochromatic Wood Canvas Love

 Hello Peeps;

Yes its true......when I love a stamp company I really really really love them.  I went crazy this month and did two more Monochromatic themed creations using C.C. Designs Digi Stamp.  I used Pink on one and black on the other.

Of course I broke into the stash of many many items I seem to be uncovering the more I unpack.....to find butterflies, more patterned papers, pearls and gems and who can resist.....the things little girls are made from?  I can honestly say these girls were fun to color and make into cute presents for the little girls in my life.
Happy Crafting Y'all

Imagine That Progressive Challenge

Since entering the blogging world again and being on Design Teams, I have found this gem!!  Kris Breach is the owner of Imagine That digistamps and she creates some of the cutest digistamps ever!  This month the Progressive stamp is called: Meerkats.

I used papers from my stash....I believe they are from Close to my Heart.  The Poloraid and word "HI" die is from CC Designs.  I used a small circle punch to create the scalloped edge on the bottom.

When the card opens.....

Kris sent awesome sentiments that are cute when put together with the entire set :)
Heart punches were used to create the cascading hearts.

Leaving a place to write a note was important when I created this card because I had a family member in mind to send it to.  I drew the phone and mounted it on yardstick.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the zig zag frame out around the phone.  I edged the sentiment with black soot.

I added small hearts to add a personal phone number to the phone page.  I loved creating this card using all the images and sentiments possible from Imagine That.

Monochromatic C.C. Designs

September is a fantastic month- Pumpkin spice, fall colours and cozy sweaters.....they are so much fun when combined together!  Over at C.C. Designs they have a monthly challenge.  It is always so much fun and last month I was lucky enough to win a free digital stamp.  I choose Laying Nora (purchase here)

*Gush* I have supported Christina for years and continue to do so- there is no bonus for me I just really really really love her work and the images are beyond cute.

I ended up creating a magnet slimline card for my friends birthday.

I had honestly never asked what her favourite color was so I randomly chose purple.  I think little Nora turned out super cute.  I used Prismacolor to colour her clothes and hair and acrylic paint for her skin.  I found a papermate thin line purple marker to enhance her tights and added lines.  after cutting her rectangular inside image I used doodlebug sequins and glitter.

I loved making the rosettes also.  CC Designs also makes the cutest dies and I used an older die that makes the rosettes just roll and glue...woot woot.

For the background I used watercolor paper and a light purple ink.  I used a brush to gently add the color.  I am learning as I go....and I hope to add images soon to links of product.  OH Dear I almost forgot about the cute little gem for the centre of her hair flower.

Everyday is worth creating.....and who doesn't love colours and inspiration.  The ladies on the Facebook page for CC Designs inspire me often.

Cheers y'all

Design Team Hello and Sheepski Design Images

OH MY WORD!!!

Can you believe it.....I was accepted to Crafty Design Team.....EEEEKKKK I am so excited to create again and on a regular basis.  The team have some amazing creations and I hope they inspire you to join us in the crafty challenge.  Our sponsor Sheepski Images has been super awesome to ensure the images we had to choose from were just so darn cute!  I used Romeo to create a magnet.  I feel like putting so much effort into something to make it beautiful should be used as long as it makes you smile.

I used a ton of different products on the small details.  The words were cut from dies and I adhered three together to create some dimension.  The snowflakes were from a wooden set at the dollar store.....painting them white with acrylic paint and covering them with stickles: silver.

The medium sized gem in the centre of the snowflakes came from a package of Making Memories that I have had for years.  The frame was cut from chipboard and also painted with acrylic paint....metallic blue. I used a fan brush to create the random splatter pattern.

The bottom boarder was made from an old Martha Stewart snowflake punch and the icicles are from C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps

My favourite part was colouring the image of course and I used Sky Blue with Mr. Romeo- to ensure a slight shade on the snow.  The image made me smile the entire time as who wouldn't want to know they are loved- especially at Christmas?  The last fun addition was the "sparkle"- all yummy eye-errific candy- white and silver glitter and doodle-bug sequins.
s

This image was so fun to create and I encourage you to participate in the awesomeness at Crafty Calendar Challenge.  When you finish your creation make sure to link it so we can all see your super awesome work.  I can't wait to see it!!!

Cheers y'all

Christmas Notebook/Card

 Hello y'all

Well C.C Designs Stamps is by far one of my favourite companies.  Christine out does herself time and time again!!!  The images are so cute and they can be used on soooooooo many projects.  Today I decided to make a Christmas Card that serves as a notebook.  Throw that little sucker in your purse and voila- when someone gives you a list or store needs its easy to jot down......but that means you must be on the "nice" list!

I used random fibres that seem to multiply every year! Who knew they could???
DCWV paper and I used Neenah Solar white yardstick to stamp the image on.  The bits and bobbles were also random things I found when organizing my craft room.  All in all I think Birgitta is pretty cute and something I can't wait to give to a friend or family member!!!

I used a combination of dylusions and watercolor inks (Dr. Phil's) to color the image and a Signo ball white pen to add highlights.....OH YEAH....the red on the image is nail polish.  My daughter found this red stuff laying about so I decided to give it a try.

Inspiration is all around us

cheers Y'all
