Christmas Notebook/Card

 Hello y'all

Well C.C Designs Stamps is by far one of my favourite companies.  Christine out does herself time and time again!!!  The images are so cute and they can be used on soooooooo many projects.  Today I decided to make a Christmas Card that serves as a notebook.  Throw that little sucker in your purse and voila- when someone gives you a list or store needs its easy to jot down......but that means you must be on the "nice" list!

I used random fibres that seem to multiply every year! Who knew they could???
DCWV paper and I used Neenah Solar white yardstick to stamp the image on.  The bits and bobbles were also random things I found when organizing my craft room.  All in all I think Birgitta is pretty cute and something I can't wait to give to a friend or family member!!!

I used a combination of dylusions and watercolor inks (Dr. Phil's) to color the image and a Signo ball white pen to add highlights.....OH YEAH....the red on the image is nail polish.  My daughter found this red stuff laying about so I decided to give it a try.

Inspiration is all around us

Just Bee Happy

 Hello Darling Peeps

Today's creations were inspired by blogs wanting us crafters to use dies.....well....like loads of you out in the world I have more than I need of said dies.  So once I started looking through them it seems that I just kept on creating and creating.  The blogs I am participating in are:

The Outlawz Challenges

The Paper Funday Challenges

Pin-spirational Challenges

So without further adieu these "Bee Happy" cards were created with lots of dies in mind.  I am not sure about you but when I put effort into cards I like the recipient to be able to use the card in some other manner.  This always stretches my imagination and the bee hive is a magnet for the fridge or wherever else it will stick.....washer, dryer, freezer.....you get the drift.

I used dies for the background- Stampin' Up hive, the scalloped edge- another Stampin' Up Big die, the bee and wings, hive and the background circle.

The hive was cut from chipboard and doodlebug primary colours pad in yellow.  The hive was two hives glued together and then magnet cut in the same shape to easily glue to the back of the black hive.  I added flowers to the corners to help make the hive and bee stand out.

When the backgrounds were cut there were so many hexagons that it just seemed like a great idea to use them on the inside of the card.  I had covered the paper with black striped washi tape and they were already decorated so a little glue and voila- inside of card is prepared to go.

I hope these inspire you to make something with your dies too.  when I started these I thought a couple would be enough but I ended up making 4 in total and they are such a sweet card to send for any occasion.  They were super fun to make and I encourage anyone to give it a roll.

Happy Crafting' Peeps

Cupcake Birthday Wishes

EEEEEEKKKKk can you believe how cute this image is?  Really she is so adorable!  She comes from the creative works of Penny Black: Sweet Thing.  When you couple this cutie with the challenges at The Outlawz Challenges Anything Goes (on Fridays) then its the perfect match.  Recently I started looking for other challenges and blogs to participate in and found a gazillion.  I will add this to other challenges and in time have them listed as well.

These birthday wishes were made possible by doodlebug designs birthday paper.  The cardstock was from a pack from Michaels bought years ago that had various shades of pink.

The envelope was masked with post-it notes and the stamps were random ones found at Walmart in the discount section.  Let's face it the price of crafting items takes a back seat since Covid-19......EVERYTHING has increased in price these days.....but crafting still gives me the EEEEEEKKKK gotta try it kind-a thang.

Hope all is well with you and your crafting world.

cheers, y'all
